Text String Search (aka command:FIND)

Text String Search (aka command:FIND)

Allow viewers and users of both the AutoCAD Mobile platform and the online viewer to search the drawing for text content.

For larger drawings this is a feature which is often used in a full AutoCAD (command: FIND) to navigate through a drawing and find the correct area to focus on.

This feature is doubly needed on a mobile platform where succesfully navigating a drawing becomes a lot more important.

Please include FIND in future TrueView releases as well.

We've been an AutoCAD shop for around 6 years but have had to keep BentleyView deployed so our non-CAD users can do a simple text search in a DWG (!)

I needed to download 880MB of TrueViewInstaller an installed 2GB of TrueView an spend hours of research to "find" out, there is not find /text-search-function to be able to locate my patchports in the rooms of a big building. So need to uninstall the 2GB App and spend this time again. A Viewer should support the text-find-functionality!!!

Additionally the Online-Version of viewer.autodesk.com does not support find text in dwg-files (This was my first try.), despite you can select the text-fields an copy the content from the Properties-Panel, but you can not search for it. :[

Great idea! A text search feature (like the command: FIND) would definitely make navigating large drawings much easier, especially on mobile. It could save time and help users quickly focus on specific areas in complex designs. Hope this gets added soon!
