Export from cad to sketchbook

Export from cad to sketchbook

It would be nice to be able to export a drawing from autocad into sketchbook, and have it recognize the shapes and line intersections.

I am not very good with free hand drawing, i have much experience with cad, it is easier to create a simpe drawing in cad than sketbook for me. I find cads drawing options easier and familiar.

I have drawn rooms of my house and would like to be able to visual my room reno ideas in color by importing my cad drawing into sketch book,  and using the fill function and brushes to  'color' the walls, fixtures and built ins.

If this is already a feature and there is a way to import into skwtchbook from cad, please let me know!

If not, its a great ideal I really hope you consider.

You don't seem to understand the limitations or requirements of Sketchbook, read all about it and what you seek to do inside Sketchbook, here is the link https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/sketchbook-products/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcartic...

You wishlist is for SKETCHBOOK, not AutoCADMOBILE, you are in the wrong forum so this will go nowhere. The Sketchbook forums are over there https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/sketchbook-products/ct-p/974

I totally forrgot about this idea@pendean, you dont seem to understand what the point of this post is. It makes total sense if you are at all fimalir with layers in sketchbook and how to use them as defining borders for the 'sketch', say like the lines already printed in a coloring book.  I just want a single layer from CAD to import into Skecthbook to create boundaries for layers  of color I will create in sketchbook. I do it all the time by creating this layer within sketch book, but it is not ideal for me, it would just be a huge time saver if I could create in CAD. This is an idea board FYI, I knew it wasnt possible at the time of the post, I am a proficent googler. Keep it positve dude, ideas man! Dont extinguish them.
