Samsung Tablet Performance

Since last Thursday (18 Nov 2021) my AutoCAD mobile workforce has been reporting slow refresh, slow panning, shaking graphics, lockups (especially after screen timeouts / lock displays) and long delays on Samsung Tablets Model S5e. Even the download speeds are noticably slower. I am an old IT geek so I performed many standard checks including Android software updates, Acheck for AutoCAD updates on Google Play, restarting apps, shutting down all other apps, restarting tablets - all without success. I also have a recently purchased iPad Pro and I NOT experiencing any issues. In fact, with testing including side by side, both connected to the same WiFi, the iPad is astonishingly faster even downloading a 10mb AutoCAD drawing from Dropbox than the Samsung Galaxt Tablet.

Is anyone aware of Samsung Android / AutoCAD Mobile on Android performance issues especially the lockups after screen timeout?

Hi @software 🙂

Have you tried to remove the application and download it again? If not, please do this step and check the performance.

Thanks

All issues are continuing if not getting worse. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and on 1 Samsung S5e Tablet I have rebuilt it - reset to factory settings and deleted all data. I have even tested free version versus paid without success. No change to the issues being experienced.

Android software versions: T725XXU2DUJ1 / T7250LM2DUJ1 / T725XXU2DUJ1

AutoCAD Mobile App version: 5.4.0

I am now seriously concerned and have started testing alternative (NOT Autodesk) apps.

If your pill is slowing down it can be that its tough power is filling up, so it is really well worth checking thru the Storage setting. Go to Settings > Battery and tool care > Storage.
