My Position with Coordinate System from Autocad Map

Hello everyone, 

I work as Site Engineer and I am not the best in land surveying topic. I have been stragelling with this issue since long time, hope someone will help. I am located in Oxfordshire, UK. 

My whole team works on drawing assign to British National Grid 27700 or WGS84. Unfortunetelly, the drawing need to be transmited to coordinate system supported by AutoCad360 to use feature 'My location' without 'Set My location'  before. It should work automaticly, I think.

The best resulst I have with: WGS84 to => EU30 (code form Civil3D] but still 'My location' is around 100m to much to West.

Could you advise me which coordinate system I should use?

I use Civil3D 20016, Map2016.

Hi @Anonymous,

As previously mentioned here on the forum, AutoCAD 360 works with the standard WGS84 coordinates system ( D'M'SS' format of displaying coordinates ).
This is the same coordinates system as Autocad desktop uses, by which we convert any other coordinates system to WGS84.
So, all other coordinates system Autocad desktop supports, will be converted also, and displayed with AutoCAD 360 as well...

We may add other coordinates formats in the future...

You can try to convert your drawing into WGS84 coodinate system as explained here via Autocad desktop- http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-civil-3d/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticle...

Also, the accuracy of the AutoCAD 360 GPS function is dependent on the accuracy of your device. You may have to enable the GPS function in order to get accurate information.

Please note that the GPS component in each device works in meters (international standard), so if the units in your drawings are Inches for example, it might cause a little change in scale...

We are aware of some issues currently occurring with our GPS feature, and we're working constantly on improving the GPS capabilities and accuracy all the time.

I work on drawing made on coordinate system 'EPSG 27700'. I work in England. When I transfer to 4326 or 4030 it stil doesnt work.

Attached source file that I want to transfer.

Any advise?

I am trying to use location function in Autocad 360 on android device.   I get GPS to show up but as I move around the site, my GPS location moves approximately 1ft on the drawing for every 3' I move in the real world.    It would seem to be a scaling issue.   My autocad is currently set to 'unitless'.   If i set to engineering inches, then my GPS moves way too much with respect to the drawing - I move right off the drawing.   There is no option to set to 'feet'.
