tool pallet group not changing from plumbing

I am having an issue with the tool pallet group not changing away from 'plumbing'.
When trying to do electrical work this is becoming really tiresome. I have reinstalled the application but to no effect.

I hope the pictures illustrates the issue:

Hello,

you may want to try workspace switching to show the correct tools in the ribbon and tool palette.

If you look at my pictures, you will see that I have done that with no effect.

No, what you show in your screenshots is something that has never worked like that in any earlier version AFAIK. It can also be done it this way (see below) if you don't use Workspaces

From your screenshot, it seems like you might have switched to "Electrical" display configuration instead.

please check if you are really in Electrical workspace (using the Gear icon at the bottom right).
