Rename a block based part.

We have several dozen block based mVParts. I'd like to rename them.

What's the best practice on how to rename them?... Use MvPart Builder to Modify Pare Sizes from inside of AutoCAD MEP, or open Autodesk Catalog Editor and name them there. Or is there some other method... like XMLNotePad for instance?

Also, isn't there some things that I should watch out for?

Also, If I rename them... might it be difficult to update existing dwg files to replace the already inserted mvParts?

Try AecSelectSimilar > MvPartModify > select renamed Part...

I think you can try to rename with XMLNotePad, but first make a catalog copy
