Hello,
I work for a small B&M Low-Voltage electrical contractor as a PM and estimator. We are growing pretty quickly and taking on some rather large projects. The owner approached me about learning AutoCad to streamline estimating, As-Builts, submittal's and closeouts. As well as offering customized design drawings to our customers. I have no formal experience with AutoCad so the owner has offered to purchase any needed software, hardware and training to get me up to speed. Ive been poking around the last few days searching for programs that would simplify the owners request but all the options have my head spinning.
At the moment, we do not use any formal software other than Procore, Drawboard and Bluebeam. With the owners request in mind, are there any recommended programs in addition to AutoCad that we should be looking into in order to simplify and streamline our processes? We are strictly a low-voltage contractor dealing in Fire, Security, AV, LV, Datacomm.
Thanks
