How do I get the file browser option to work when importing other files?

Sorry a really basic question, but how do I get he popup option to work? not sure what I have done but when I'm trying to import a file and I select other formats I used to be able to go browse my files. now I get what you see in the image below. can anyone help?🫣 Thanks

The system variable is called FILEDIA > set it to 1 to get the file opening window appear.
