Excel import properties

Hi there,

is there a way to import properties from an excel into autocad mep? As we understood, it's not possible to map or extract the GUID of an element in Autocad directly, coz we need the GUID on a different position too. Our idea was to import the GUID's from an excel back to Autocad, as it works in other softwares like Archicad.

Other ideas to solve that?

- There's no dynamo for Autocad or something like this?

- With scripting we couldn't find the GUID or any Ifc-Property.

- Last option will be to implement that with simpleBIM after the export.

Thanks a lot for your ideas and hints.

There is no bakdoor ability to introduce what does not exist in AutoCAD as far as I know.
And if ArchiCAD is a better tool for your business needs you might consider switching.
