I am using Autocad MEP 2024. I have input ducts and assigned elevations, however when I toggle to the MEP display to show dashed lines for hidden ducts some, but not all, of the ducts are disappearing. When I change the display back to Standard the ducts reappear.

Is this an issue with the Display Manager? I have tried changing settings but can't resolve the issue.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi @tim_bergstromK6F6X ,
Thank you for the post on the AutoCAD MEP forum.
Just from the top of my head this may seem to be a display manager setting matter.
For us to take a closer look into this display issue, would you mind sharing your drawing that has this duct display issue? (you may remove any confidential matter in your drawing)
Additionally if you could answer the following questions to get a better understanding of the issue:
Thank you.
Best regards,
Yanhan
I have attached the dwg in question in a zip file. There are a few items in the ductwork that are annotative items / blocks and not part of the duct system. This was a leftover from my predecessor. The issue is occurring in standard ducting in the supply and return layers.
Thanks for the help!
Hi @tim_bergstromK6F6X ,
Thank you for your patience and the sample file. We did some digging around and came up with a few solutions that can work for you.
Option 1: Copying over "routing preference"
In your sample file, there is an oddity whereby there are no parts selected in the standard routing preference (see image below). This may be due to some changes your predecessor may have made, but nonetheless this seems to have some impact on the display configuration.
Therefore, to circumvent this issue, you can open a new drawing and copy over the "standard" Duct Part Routing Preference over to your drawing.
Try saving and reopening your drawing.
In our testing, this had a positive effect and enabled the ducts to be shown in the MEP design display configuration
Option 2: Move your drawing object and xrefs onto a new drawing
Create a new drawing and carefully copy over your objects and xrefs to the new drawing.
Option 3: Display Manager settings
This is more of a workaround, but you may utilize '2 line' display representation found in the Display Manager.
Check the highlighted box and apply the setting
Thank you and I hope any of these solutions helps you.
Best regards,
Yanhan
