Can't Select Objects

I am working in MEP 2023 (but this has happened in earlier versions as well) drawing 3D duct for a hospital. I am working on the vertical duct in the shafts, so I have the model tab layout set up fopr 2 different views - plan view and one where I can orbit to see the vertical duct. In the iso view I am trying to select pieces of duct to move the entire riser but it won't select some of the pieces, it's like they're not even there. Even if I do a crossing window it will select some of the pieces, but not others. How can I get it to select these objects?

So this only ever happens in ISO?
And this occurs in ALL of your files, or just this one? Or just these objects? or just this one exact specific ISO view?

Yes, only in a view that I have orbited to show vertical duct. It happens randomly in whichever file I have open at the time. I can select multiple pieces of duct then it won't select certain ones. Sometimes I can go to paper space then back to model space and it will let me select them, but today that wasn't working. This has happened pretty often over the years, I just decided to post on here to see if anybody else has the issue and if there is a fix.

Sadly, there is never a fix for something that happens so randomly that you cannot repeat on demand (and show us how to replicate it). perhaps something else was going on/in effect at the time?

Your observed solution would indicate your graphics did not refresh correctly, perhaps REGENALL command can help?

Try switching from a shaded view to 2D Wireframe or vice-versa. You can then switch back. This usually does the trick for me. BTW, this has been an issue for a long time, even with certified hardware/drivers.
