Can Civil 3d Pipe networks be brought into MEP to add more detail?

I am working on a project that requires a high level of detail. I have sanitary pipe networks in Civil 3d and would like to show wye fittings and other fittings. Is it possible to bring civil 3d pipe networks into Autocad MEP to add that level of detail?

If the fittings and the pipe system don't already exist in Civil 3D, then you will most likely have to redraw everything in MEP. If you are redrawing everything, then you might be better off just pulling in the centerlines of the pipe network for routing and location and then fill with MEP content.

Make sure upfront that MEP meets the needed level of detail to produce the desired "eye candy" so you don't have to spend time modifying content.
