Unselect a single line from selection of multiple lines

Hi All,

I have peculiar problem using 2018 ACAD Mech. I use red and green rectangles to select items n removing unwanted lines. But in doing so, I tend to select something I don't want to delete or move. Is there a way I can unselect that 1 line instead of undoing selection and reselecting ?

Thanks and Regards,

Yash

Hi @Yashasvi23481

as your explanation is not well explaining your issue, can you please create a video with Screencast, so that we can see what you are doing and where you got the problem.

Hi Rainer,

In a simple way, All I am trying to do is selecting 6 lines and by mistake a 7th line is selected n I want to remove the 7th line from selection. How do I do it? Is there a button I can hold and select 7th line so its excluded from selection ? Currently, when I select the non required line the other 6 lines also gets excluded.

Hope this makes it clear.

Regards,

Yash

Yes, the SHIFT-key.

With the 7 lines selected, you can deselect the "wrong" line with SHIFT + leftclick.

This can be repeated, but if the lines are stacked it only removes the top line - if it is a selected one.

Or SHIFT and leftclick* into an empty area and use the selection-area to deselect all objects inside it.

* It is not necessary to hold the SHIFT key while using the selection-area.
