Stepout is mentioned as an unknown command.

Current profile is <<ACADMPP>>

Version is: AutoCAD Mechanical 2018

With the same profile the command is available in AutoCAD Mechanical 2016 !

Hi,

Stepout command works in AutoCAD Mechanical 2018.

I am not sure if the ACADMPP profile is corrupt or not loaded correctly.  You may want to backup your settings and do a reset to defaults and verify the issue again.

Note: Make sure your backup any customizations before resetting.

Windows Start >>programs>>Autodesk>>AutoCAD Mechanical 2018>>Reset Settings to Default.

Thanks,

Thanks Sridhar,

I tried resetting to default settings, but things seem to get worse. Maybe these things are related. Since installing AutoCAD Mechanical 2018 I get a lot of Fatal Errors, especially when opening or saving files, so when the file dialogue box needs to open.

I will try to get help on this issue first. Then see if I can get Stepout to work in AM-2018. It is strange that I can run the command in AM-2016 with the same profile...

Thank you for providing additional information.

There may be multiple reason for fatal error crash.  Please let me know if you have already sent Crash error report.  if yes, we would like to check with you the email id used to send the CER report so that we can look into the report.

Also I shall log a case in our system so that a technical support person can contact you and do a screen sharing if required.

If you prefer not to mention your email here, please send the email id to sridharDOTsubramaniATautodeskDOTcom

Dear Sridhar,

thank you for your help. My e-mail is infoATwester-naDotnl

Your help is appreciated, especially also with the Fatal Errors.

I should probably mention there seems to be a relation with Windows Explorer which is sometimes quite slow. I do have  a feeling things started to go bad after some installation problems on MicroSoft Office were solved (with help from the Microsoft support team...). But I cannot pinpoint exactly when and how the problems started.

There is an additional strange phenomenon that all my programs sometimes hung when I closed the AutoCAD drawings without closing AutoCAD itself. Then nothing else would help other than ending the AutoCAD process by use of the Task Manager.

I am available for screen-sharing during most of Western Europe office hours approximately, but not this afternoon (28-06).

Best regards,

Paul.
