Removing Radius Leader Arc extension in AutoCAD Mechanical

Removing Radius Leader Arc extension in AutoCAD Mechanical

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am currently using AutoCAD Mechanical 2018 and when I use the dimension radius command an arc appears at the end of the leader. The leader points to the arc and not the radius. Is there a way to turn off the arc symbol at the end of leader when using this command? I did a quick look thru the leader properties but did not see anything (I definitely could have missed it tho.).

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi @Anonymous,

It sounds like you are wanting to remove the Radius Dimension Extension. For individual dimensions, this can be done in the Properties Palette by changing the Ext line value to OFF under Lines & Arrows, see the before and after screen shots below:

Please let me know if this helps.

Power Dimensions do work differently from standard AutoCAD dimensions. This AKN article and associated article links often help.

Cheryl,

Thank you for the suggestion. I dug around a bit more and found what I was looking for here:
