I have a drawing in the Layout which is done with some layer settings and the same drawing as to be replaced with some changes in the another drawing and i did it by exporting the Layer setting from one layout to another drawing layout everything was fine, but when i see the Layer Properties drop down menu i can find the Layer name highlighted with blue color. Can anyone let me know how to overcome from this Highlighted color, where it should only the name of the Layer not with highlighted color.

the blue-highlight is AutoCAD's way of letting you know you have layer overrides in place. If you want the highlighting to go away you need to remove the overrides (columns labelled VP on the far right of the Layer command pop-up).

Is it not possible or is there any option to remove the Highlighted Color without the removing override settings in the Drawing.

Hi @basmalli,

I do not believe there is a way to remove the highlight from the overrides. However, if you would like to make this suggestion to the Product team, I encourage your to follow this link and submit the idea. Product Feedback

I don't know if anyone is still having this issue, but it started affecting me just today.

We're using Civil 3D 2022 and everything was fine just yesterday. I thought perhaps our IT Dept installed some update only on my machine as a testbed. No forums across the internet for CAD help had any solutions. Being at my wits end, I began to dig through various options and settings and I stumble upon the solution.

In the upper right-hand corner of the Layer Properties Manager, there is a toggle for the Override Highlight between the Settings (gear) and Refresh buttons. In nearly 20 years, I have never even accidently hit this button. I must have finally done so since yesterday.

Enjoy the actual solution.
