Fill property for colour-dependent plot style not working

For AutoCAD 2017 the Fill property of the Plot Style Table Editor does not function.

Any suggestions - is there a variable requiring resetting.

A second question - what objects does the Fill property act upon. There is not much information on this topic.

Thanks in advance.    Andrew

Hi @amt,

Thank you for posting. I was able to test the CTB Fill Style settings in AutoCAD 2017-2022. These were the results in for the Right Slant. The 2 objects are a solid hatch and a wide polyline.

A few things to note about Fill Styles:

  • The system variable FILL = ON and FILLMODE = 1.
  • Fill Style only works for wide poly lines (which is different from line thickness and line weight, see To create a wide polyline), donuts, solid fill hatch objects, and solids. See To assign a Fill Style.
  • The Fill Style will only show in the plot preview and plot, they do not show in model space.
  • Fills are only displayed for a 2D objects such as Wide Polylines in a 2D views, such as Top (see Wide Polylines do not appear to be filled in AutoCAD).
