Error: "You cannot edit Autodesk Mechanical Desktop drawings..."

Dear all I´m triyng to edit a 3D object that was created by Mechanical Desktop 5 in a new version (Mechanical 2019). When I try to save the file, all commands blocks it self authomatically and the error "You cannot edit Autodesk Mechanical Desktop drawing in Autocad Mechanical, All AutoCad Mechanical commands including SAVE are now disable". Please, see the attach enclosed Thanks in advance for your help

Hi @Anonymous,

 

This error usually occurs when saving a file that was originally created in Autodesk Mechanical Desktop (MDT) in AutoCAD Mechanical.  The article provided by @DarrenP explains the issue and offers a solution.
