Dimension misbehavior in AutoCAD Mechanical

We experienced lightning strikes here the other day while I was on vacation.

When I began to work on a new drawing today, I set the dimension style I normally use when I began dimensioning.

When I applied a dimension, I selected it, opened Properties, selected my preferred dimension style.  The dimension did not take on those characteristics I have set.  However, when I typed Regen and hit enter, that dimension appeared as it should.  Then when I selected that dimension and tried to reposition it by its grip, the grip moved to the new location with the expected elements of the dimension moving with it--until I released the grip.  Then the elements stayed in their original position with the illuminated grip(s) still in the new position.  I typed Regen, hit enter, and the elements caught up with the grip(s).

Did your REGENAUTO or REGENMODE variables simply get turned off?

REGENAUTO and REGENMODE are OK.As it turned out, the lightening strike on Monday messed with the computers here, and evidently corrupted some of the AutoCAD mechanical operations. We rebooted the computers 2 times and, now, they are functioning just fine.We also have begun to notice similar difficulties with .dxf files that we use at the Plasma Table. We are rebooting that system now also.
