Hi All,
I am using 2018 AutoCAD Mechanical. When I copy the contents of 1 drawing onto other (both have same sheet size), the pasted item is much larger than sheet size. I checked the ratio, it was more than 25.4 (in case in was copied to mm unit).
Well, I modified the content to what I wanted to do and made a block and zoomed to fit in sheet. When I tried to explode dimensions were all over the place. but when I did refclose to save, it went back to original. What could be the reason for this behaviour ? Both drawings (copied from and pasted into) have units listed as unitless. See the 2 jpegs attached. I have tried copybase too. source and destination have same size for text how is sheet size differing ? i have to make lot of changes to each sheet n there are 19 off them. cant keep repeating same mods on each of them. You can see in resultant drawing jpeg that title block is lying so small compared to bottom of the content in red border. whereas AutoCAD error.jpeg shows dimension blown out when block is being modified.
When I make a block why does dimension explode as shown ? If I could control that, I can copy block and explode and re block. Do I scale drawing without creating block ? In doing so, will dimension be scaled too ? I know I can solve this using viewports but we rarely use layouts, all work is done in model space including title block.
Please help.
Thanks and Regards,
Yash
