Hello AutoCAD Experts! 🙂
I am looking for a specific function in AutoCAD Mechanical 2022.
1. I saw it once on one of my company's P&IDs - piping was moving along with equipment it was attached to as I changed the location of equipment block. It appeared as a little grey square next to the connection point with some icon inside 🙂 Unfortunately, now I can't find this function anywhere in my AutoCAD.
I would compare it to MS Visio connector routing function, where "connectors stay glued to shapes when those shapes are moved around the page."
2. If this function is available in ACAD then I am also wondering, whether it is possible to set options such as:
- finding the optimum route for connectors that will avoid other shapes along the path
- automatically creating offsets to connectors that cross over other connectors.
I guess it is more AutoCAD Plant 3D function but maybe there are some options like this in Mechanical as well?
I hope I managed to describe in a way others can understand.. 🙂 I would appreciate help in this matter.
