Component Properties and Parts Lists Template Creation/Defaults Edit Help

Hello,

I wanted to give a little background with my question. My end goal for a project I am working on is to improve one of our internal part creation processes by adding the feature of auto summing/data population to our bill of materials. We use a lot of standard blocks current but input all of our data in the BOMs by hand, and we end up getting errors in qtys, part naming standards missed, wrong part number, etc.

I was able to get a prototype working by reading through the AutoCAD Mechanical - help and updating our blocks using AMPARTREFEDIT, editing the component properties/parts list layout to match our current BOM structure.

Currently I am stuck on trying to find documentation/figure out how to either make a template or update our AutoCAD Mechanicals default layout so we can just create a new drawing and copy paste the blocks into a drawing and not have to spend time reformatting the component properties/parts list layout to show the information. Default Layout In New DrawingDefault Layout In New DrawingWanted Layout After EditingWanted Layout After EditingDefault Layout In New Drawing Part Pasted InDefault Layout In New Drawing Part Pasted InWanted Layout After EditingWanted Layout After Editing

@AnonymousMake a copy of your standard/default drawing template that you would normally use and setup a blank parts list in it and save that file as a new template and see if you can add parts and the parts list perform the way you want it to.
