I used to be able to edit the line length in properties in AutoCAD, however now the options is greyed out. I've made sure dynamic input mode is on but can't seem to figure out what the issue is.

This forum is "not autoCAD" and you never could (and still cannot) do that for LINE objects in AutoCAD nor MECHANICAL.

Explore the command LENGTHEN, works quite well once you master its options.

Sorry but what do you mean by the forum is "not autoCAD"?

As for the feature not being available, I was editing the length property of lines as described without any issues up till recently (when I changed computer and did a fresh install of autodesk apps), are there any possible feature/ setting being overlooked?

You may have left behind an add-on or 3rd party tool that offered this ability: out-of-the-box AutoCAD and MECHANICAL do not offer that ability to LINE objects using PROPERTIES palette.
