Best Ways to Integrate AutoCAD Mechanical into a Computer Science Curriculum

Hello Autodesk Community! I’m part of the Computer Science Department at Newports Institute, and we’re looking into adding AutoCAD Mechanical to our curriculum to give students exposure to CAD tools and their applications in engineering and design.

Has anyone integrated AutoCAD Mechanical into a computer science or engineering program? I’d love to hear your recommendations on structuring lessons or projects, as well as any resources that might help students grasp core design concepts through practical exercises. Thanks in advance for your insights!

Dumb question if I may: why choose an old program like AutoCADMECH instead of more robust and modern tools like (if you want to stick with Autodesk) FUSION or the older INVENTOR?
