AutoCAD 2009 - explode text (TXTEXP) to export to .step file (on mtext)

In the 2007 version I could use TXTEXP to explode text (mtext) into polylines. Those could then be exported into .step files using 2009 mechanical version for the CNC software to machine the text.

Our license for 2007 has expired, so i need another way to do this. 2009 doesn't have the TXTEXP command. When i use explode or xplode, it does change the text, but apparently not to separate polylines that can be exported into the .step format.

Is there another way to get mtext formatted into something that can exported into .step files on the 2009 version of AutoCAD?

Hi,

TXTEXP is a command from express tools.

Have you tried to install the express tool?

If you haven't, you can go to Control Panel-> Double click AutoCAD versioin -> Add/Remove features to add Express tools.

Thanks.
