Have some old DWG's done in ACAD 2004. Now I am using Mech 2007 and when I open old dwg in Mech 2007 it pops up the AMSCONSISTENCYCHECK dialog. Is there anyway to turn this off?

This message pops up because it detects the drawings were originally created
in AutoCAD Mechanical Structure environment and was last modified outside of
Mechanical (ACAD in this case). This message is important as you may
accidentally alter the Mechanical Structure object in AutoCAD.

Unfortunately there's no way to suppress this dialog in AutoCAD Mechanical
2007.

I came across this issue very recently and found your post. Looks like you were not so lucky to get a solution from 6 years.

But luckily I did find a solution for this. I can share it If you are still looking for it.

Hi autobatros,

Basically for me that command was of no use as I was not bothered about using Mechanical Structures.

All you have to do is disable the Command 'AMSCONSISTENCYCHECK' by using following command

Command: _UNDEFINE
Enter Command Name: AMCONSISTENCYCHECK

I hope it may solve your issue. Have a Good Day!

Hi RanjanSuperman,

Thanks a lot!!!, It works perfect!!!!

You use the command '_UNDEFINE' an then the command name: 'AMSCONSISTENCYCHECK' and it doesn't bother you in the opened session.

I also found the you can revert the proccess with the command 'REDEFINE'

It solved my issue. Thanks Again.

If you agree, I will use your solution (refering to you) in another related post.

Batros

I am glad it helped you. Please accept it as a solution, so that others can benefit from it.
Also I forgot to mention about the REDEFINE in my solution.
Moreover no one will be ready to get back into trouble by redefining AMSCONSISTENCYCHECK 🙂

Best Regards

Code I used was

Sub YourMacro()

    ThisDrawing.SendCommand "UNDEFINE" & Chr(13) & "AMSCONSISTENCYCHECK" & Chr(13)

    Call Anothermacro

    ThisDrawing.SendCommand "REDEFINE" & Chr(13) & "AMSCONSISTENCYCHECK" & Chr(13)

    MsgBox ("Procedure Complete")

End Sub

And it works fine.

Thanks for solution.
