Mr. Sid and ECW Image Shifting Bug in a Rotated Viewport

Autodesk needs to fix the bug where Mr. Sid images and ECW images shift while in a rotated viewport. This bug has existed since Map 2009 and C3D 2009 and has yet to be fixed after six version updates. It has been logged as a defect already, but Autodesk only has it listed for 2014 and 2015 (and now 2016). I was told by support today when updating this bug report for 2016 to also place bug issues on the IdeaStation so that more attention can be called to it.

It's clear that this has been a defect for many, many years.

Mr Sid images are very common in our area. This issue has impacted me since Civil 3D 2011. Keeping viewports rotated a multiple of 90-degrees is the work around but it results in poor looking drawings in some cases. A fix would be much appreciated.

This has still not been fixed in 2017. That's now eight years of development that this bug hasn't been fixed and it's a huge issue. We end up using ESRI products to produce some maps that otherwise we'd be using Map 3D (C3D) for because of this.

Just to follow up, the issue remains unfixed in 2018.

Having the same issue with C-3D 2017. Why has this not been addressed?

This is still an issue in 2019, update 2019.2. The workaround to toggle PERSPECTIVE on / off / on works sporadically on some viewports but is no help for other viewports.

This has still not been resolved in 2024 version.

It's only been a bug for 15 years everyone.

Surely it will get fixed soon. We just have to be patient.
