We are using a WMS FDO connection to a public webserver. When connecting we select the supported SRS from the WMS server to match our data "nativly" (meaning the SRS of the data in Map 3D/DWG matches the selected SRS supported by the WMS server), hence there is no need for MAP3D/FDO to perform a transformation on the receieved WMS image.
Saving this Layer into a .Layer file, apparently does not "retain" the preferred and selected SRS.
When such a layer file is loaded "Load Layer", Map 3D seem to select the first SRS from the list. If this does not match the SRS defined in the DWG, Map 3D applies a transformation on the WMS image. this takes longer and is not always the best fit.
Is our observation correct that the Layer files does not contain the SRS selected prior of inserting the WMS layer (the first time)?
