Query error

We have been having difficulty doing co-ordinate transformations from one drawing into another since out I.T. installed Windows 7 on our systems (complete system wipe and rebuild), we get the same error on each workstation, both in C3d 2009 and 2011.

Command: _ADEQUERY

Executing query...

Querying from P:\Geomatics\198 Imperial Oil Resources\198.04.01\Nabiye (All NB
Projects)\Phase 2 IFS & Estimates\Pad Calcs\Nabiye Pads Precalc.dwg ...
Executing location query...done.
Displaying queried objects...

0 object(s) have been queried.
Command:

the Map Message box says simply
"some entities from .... can't be queried
eFilerError

error log attached.

I've heard through the grapevine there is supposed to be a simple fix for this, but I have not found out yet. Any ideas?

Are you query Civil 3D objects or standard AutoCAD objects? The map query
does not work on C3D objects.

If you cannot Query Civil 3D objects, how do you perform a coordinate conversion on them?

*The solution in my instance was to explode the surface model, retaining the contours and the surface model boundary.

Then I was able to perform a MAPWSPACE coordinate conversion via the QUERY function, then after converting to the correct coordinate system I simply re-created the surface model, using the contours and boundary.
