Problem adding WMTS Server

Hi

I've tried to add an open WMTS Server, but I allways get this message:

There was a problem adding data to Map.

Tape data could not be obtained.

The HTTP request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax

The server adress is: 

https://gis.bgld.gv.at/gisbgld/rest/services/Public/Orthofoto/MapServer/WMTS/1.0.0/WMTSCapabilities....

How can I solve this problem?

Hi Florian,
I can't get it to work either. Even QGIS wouldn't open that link. Did you try other links at >>>GeoDaten Burgenland<<<?

Yes, I tried other links on that site. The WMS servers work, but are very slow.

Unfortunately not a single WMTS server works from this site...

And I don't understand how this ArcGIS Mapserver works 🙂

Hi,

confirmed from my side too, Map 3D 2021 as well as Civil 3D 2021 shows "failed to get band data/malformed syntax" when requesting the aerial image.

However, contrary to @Pointdump  I was able to use the data inside QGIS (3.16.2).

As other software packages can access this WMTS service I would create a support ticket at the Autodesk support (with a link to this thread).

Hi,

I think there's a general problem in ACAD. A guy from our local government sent me another server, which works perfectly (https://gis.bgld.gv.at/gisbgld/rest/services/Public/Grundkarte_Luftbild/MapServer/WMTS/1.0.0/WMTSCap...)

Apparently ACAD only supports the WebMercator Projection (his statement) and not the other one which is used with the previous server.

I think your ticket suggestion is the best way to go.

@ekrem.canliLRXB5 ... I was not the one who has created a support ticket at Autodesk.

@florian.muellerS9G36  ... I tried your link with Civil 3D 2022 (current service packs installed) and got the data displayed well. So either version 2022 has a better WMTS handling or something on the server changed.

Hi guys,

The WMTS servers run in the 2022 version of Map 3D, the position is also correct.
However, in my coordinate system the plot does not work, it always shifts the WMTS data to the left.
The issue is known to Autodesk, so far there is no solution.

Your WMTS link works in Global Mapper
