Polygons / Hatches - smaller in size

Hi I need to fill in areas of lakes and island, but am finding that both Polygons and hatches are making the drawing too large, 150,000 KB.  I need to fill these large areas in without making the drawing too large, say under 1000 KB

Hi,

The most "economical" hatching in Autocad is SOLID.

... But perhaps filling in DOTS will be "lighter". If dots are sparse. This hatching can be given a larger scale.
