Mapiinsert Command problem

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm running Map 3D 2015, use MAPIINSERT daily. Recently the command refuses to show the window

that first comes up where you designate the scale, placement coords... instantly inserts everything, (rasters or blocks)

at 0,0.  I have to zoom out, select the inserted object, drag it to my location and scale it up. Not sure where

the initial window in the command disappeared to.  Did a variable possibly get changed?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Perhaps you need to enable the Modify Correlation option.

You must be executing a command for an image to be inserted at 0,0. Do you remember the command?

How does Map3D know to insert that particular image as opposed to another one? What instigates Map to go to that specific folder and pick out that specific image? Why not another image in the same folder? Why doesn't it go to a different folder on a different drive? Perhaps you are leaving something out? Maybe something vital that may hold the key to resolving your issue.

Hi,

>> Perhaps you need to enable the Modify Correlation option.

good catch, and I want to add: maybe the files don't have a geo-position information (world file or geo-position info in header).

Thank you!

Just in case!
If you need to insert already georeferenced images, then it is very desirable to disable the Modify correlation option. With the Modify correlation enabled, some incomprehensible coordinate recalculation can occur, and images can be inserted slightly shifted.
