Shalom,

So when I insert my .tif, the distances are obnoxiously smaller than they should be (see attached image). Is there an obvious solution to this I'm not seeing, or is it a problem with my imagery?

Thanks!

The description of your issue is too vague. Would it be possible to provide more info? As it is now, there could be many things, or a combination of things, causing this to happen.

  1. With your tif selected, take a screenshot of of both your tif and Properties Palette.
  2. Have you assigned a coordinate system to modelspace? If yes what is that CS? No guessing.
  3. Is your background image georeferenced? If yes what is the CS being used by the image? No guessing.
  4. What command or procedure did you use to insert your background image?
  5. How did you insert, or what command did you use, to insert the tif?
  6. Did you create the tif? How?
  7. Did you download the tif? From where?

Are you willing to upload your tif or provide a link so the the tif can be used firsthand for analysis?

Hello @jpskipper97EKZRZ

Did @ChicagoLoopers post help you to solve your issue?

another idea I had is that depending on the function you use, it might be affected by the variable INSUNITS. Please compare DWGUNITS and INSUNITS. it might be worth a try to set INSUNITS on the same value which is shown at DWGUNITS.

If so, please mark this post as a solution. This will help other users with a similar issue to find the topic easily and to use the mentioned steps to solve their issue.

Best regards,

Thomas
