Hi,
>> I want to know if it is possible to crop all USA as a low resolution imagery.
3D printing is not based on images as images only have pixel in x and y direction.
You need to get 3D data of the area you want to print, then you can export that as STL for 3D-printing.

Hi,
>> Yes getting the 3d data into Autodesk is all the problem
Which format do you get the 3D-data for all USA

Hi,
>> because the tools in Autodesk 3D map do not allow users to crop whole continents
Maybe I misunderstand something ... you can only crop data if you have data to crop ... so again the question: which dataformat do you have the 3D data already?

Hi,
>> I have used three other GIS software brands and like arc, sketchup
I don't know a GIS software called "Arc". It might be ArcGIS ... but this is mostly 2D oriented.
Sketchup is not a GIS-software.
>> In the tool window you can import map data from lets say google earth
In Map 3D (without additional tools/plugins) you can't import Google Earth data ... what software or which plugin are you really using?
And if you connect to BingMaps you only get images, but no 3D content.
>> Autodesk has tools to work with a large map
"Map" is 2D, not 3D, so nothing that can be printed on a 3D printer (at least will not result in different elevations).
One software from Autodesk handling 3D data is InfraWorks, that could bring in 3D data and you might try to export it, but I guess the data-amount is then too high to get it working on a normal workstation.
>> Any DEM file for all USA.
If you have a DEM file you can use Autodesk Civil 3D to import it.
What I'm most unsure is that you state "you can't crop your data", which sounds like you have one.
But asking then for how to get data sounds like you don't have valid 3D data.
Maybe it's me, but I'm really not sure about what you have or not.

Are you wanting a 3d model of the US or RELIEF Map? If so why not just search for a DEM of the US instead of using Google Maps or Big Maps.
Also have you look at the topographic models of the US that are already made? Do a Google search of Relief maps.
