how to export simple map with legend as stand-alone file

How do I export a map with legend (generated from the template) for another user?  When I export my map, all components are visible, but the legend is missing the symbols. I cannot save the legend as an external file.  All must be self contained.  Data does not have to be modified but the autocad file must be live.  Please help!

Not tried now, but I guess creating a block from the current legend makes it fixed.

If the data is not modified that you might plot to DWF and then use the DWF like an XRef.

Hi,

unfortunatley legend icons are not exported (don't know whether new release of Map is still affected).

There are only "workarounds" - such as creating an imag of the legend (screenshot) and insert it into exported drawing,
