Hi,

Can someone please explain the steps needed to connect  to Ordnance Survey Zoomstack data.    It is available to download as either geopackage or mbtiles, but cannot work out how to connect the data.

thanks

Hi Alireza,
From OS:
"You can use this data in a range of software including ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, Cadcorp SIS, MapInfo, Tableau, Kepler.gl and many more."

I tried just now to open the Vector Tiles download in QGIS, but was not successful. So I would try Geopackage format (.gpkg) in QGIS and re-save in shapefile format. Then you can bring it into Map 3D.

AutoCAD Map 3D doesn't support OS Zoomstack formats or GeoPackage and MBTiles. Those formats will require you to use third party software (I used Global Mapper but there are many others) to 'convert' them to another format that M3D understands. Instead of downloading one of the OS Open Zoomstack formats you can try using OS VectorMap District from the same website.  Just SCROLL DOWN and you'll see the free OS VectorMap District option. The formats available are shapefile, GML, GeoPackage and GeoTIFF. (See image-1).

From OS VectorMap District there are 3 steps to get your data (see image-2):

  1. Specify area (The areas are 'tiles' so you'll need to select the tile corresponding to your area.)
  2. Data format (Select format from the dropdown.)
  3. Download

The shapefile download consists of various shapefiles. When combined, all the files are the same as what's in the GeoPackage. Here's an example displaying 3 shapefiles from the tile I downloaded (see image-3).
