Georeferenced image disappears from presentation when window is rotated

Hello, I'm testing AutoCAD Map 3D version 2024, and when I insert a georeferenced image, create a presentation, and rotate the window, the image disappears. I have an RTX 2070 graphics card, which should be compatible. I've tried disabling graphics acceleration, but the problem persists. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

Hi Daniel,
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
That bug has been around for quite a while. Any rotation other than 0°,90°,180°,270° will cause that to happen.
If memory serves. re-saving your image in QGIS as a tiff will correct that behavior and allow you to rotate in other than 90° increments.

The free >>>GeoViewer Pro<<< can re-save to tiff format, and you can reduce resolution, and even tile a large image. (Re-saving an ECW to Tiff format will dramatically increase file size.)

hi, Thanks for your input, but I always work with ECW images, as they
are linear construction projects 10 km or longer, and my problem is with
ECW orthophotos. It's true that decompressing an ECW image created with
a 1/20 compression ratio greatly increases its size, making it
impractical to work with a TIFF format. I don't understand why this
happens with AutoCAD; it doesn't occur in BrisCAD, for example. Thanks

Are you using the Data Connect palette (MAPCONNECT) to add your image to your map? The Data Connect Palette will accurately insert a georef'd image provided you have assigned and appropriate coordinate system to modelspace beforehand.

<<Note: the image doesn't have to have to same native coordsys as modelspace. This procedure will perform a GEOSPATIAL TRANSFORMATION from the native coordsys of the image to the coordsys that's assigned to modelspace.>>

Once the image is in modelspace, go to Layout Tab and open (activate) the viewport. Then rotate the viewport contents like this:

To return to World Coordinate System:

On command line=>UCS=>World=>Enter
