FATAL Error: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0008 Exception at D9B808B8h

Hi!

I am a geology student trying to import and use custom hatches which are representative to those used in the industry. Those ANSI, ISO and default hatches are not diverse enough. My TA has provided a map with dwg files and a custom made cuix just for this.

Her instructions are:

  1. paste the map in C:/Program Files and not in C:/Program Files(X86).
  2. Then using hte CUI command load the custom cuix wich is held in the map newly pasted to program files.

This is where my problem occurs.

After doing so the program crashes and after launching it, it immediately shows message:

"FATAL Error: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0008 Exception at D9B808B8h".

I have not found a similar problem to this. I am also a novice user, so it is entierly possible that I have mistakenly forgot to click something, although I believe that the instructions are far to simple to mess up.

Does anyone have any idea what to do. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

For the files provided to you by your instructor, did your instructor put all the files in a folder for you to download? Please open that folder you downloaded and take a screen shot of all contents in that folder. The screen shot should be the files in the folder that was downloaded by you and not a screen shot of where you pasted them.

Also, you will need to disclose your version of Map 3D. To do this type ABOUT on command line, then take another screen shot, this time screen grab the About window. Upload both screen shots to the forum.

Good, I see you are using Map 3D 2019, Student version. For the hatch files, please check the box 'File Name Extensions' in the Show/Hide panel of the ribbon. Then go to 'Options' on the far right of the ribbon and select Details from the dropdown. Please upload another screen shot.

Are any extensions displaying dwg, pat or png?
