Exporting objects to DXF

I used to easily export objects out of a .dwg by selecting them and saving a new .dxf file. I am fairly sure the command was MAPEXPORT. However, this command does not work as expected any more and I can't tell if I've messed up and forgotten the command or the command has changed.

Either way, I need a simple command for exporting multiple objects to DXF. I would prefer selecting them all beforehand and if the settings are remembered then I can just give the new file name and go on. I have to save many objects out of many files so I need that kind of efficiency.

Also, the command now only allows .shp files, .mif files etc and I can't see how to export dxf except perhaps with SAVEAS, which is completely wrong for me.

In addition to this I need to attribute my objects and I wonder if that is possible with the above?

My apologies. I used WBLOCK. When I tried BLOCK it was not right so I went to EXPORT. I will close this and ask the rest of the question separately.

If you want to export attribute data you cannot use dxf. A dxf file is a basic, bare minimum, Cad file. An analogy would be trying to make Notepad behave like MS Word, where NPad doesn't have any bells and whistles and Word has lots of accoutrements. You can create a dxf simply by performing a 'SAVE AS.....'

If, however, you want to export objects with attribute data, then you should probably go with shp or mif.

Output tab=>Map Data Transfer panel=>DWG to SDF icon=>then in Export Location dialog click dropdown in 'Files of type.'

The icon named DWG to SDF is a misnomer, it will export to file types 'other than' SDF.The icon named DWG to SDF is a misnomer, it will export to file types 'other than' SDF.
