Exporting Blocks to Points?

I have a bunch of blocks representing Manholes.  I'd like to export them (MAPEXPORT) to points.  

Is there a way to do that.  

Or is there a way to replace blocks with points.  Substitute, etc?

Hi,

not directly, you can export them to an ascii file (using command _DATAEXTRACTION) and then import them using the ASCII-file as script.

But please let us know first: what is the advantage of points compared to block-insertions?
