I have a WMS connection for the FEMA information and of course it shades flood zones in blue covering up project area that I am working in.  I have tried to change the color and make it transparent but the style editor will not allow me to make any changes other than full color (which is blue) to greyscale.  Is there a reasonable work around?

Since WMS returns the map using images (i.e. PNG, GIF, etc).

If the image is not able to be made transparent, you have to change it.

 

Change the image type coming from the WMS server to PNG for example.
