dynamic block loosing visibility at sync or copy-paste

Hi there,

I have a dynamic block created, every time that I want to show or to make invisible  some attributes is loosing the visibility (is resetting to the default visibility)

Usually I use the command Battman, once  I press sync all the blocks are back to the default state.

The same story, resetting to the default visibility when i am performing  copy/ paste in a new file.

 Thanks

Hi,

using dynamic blocks AND using BATTMAN to modify attribute settings is critical, as objects are removed and created newly and so dynamic information like visibility states need again the information which attribute belongs to which action or which visibility state.

Hi,

>> how do you proceed

I adapt the visual states in the block, so each attribute (after you modified it with BATTMAN) is reassigned to each visibility state.

I use the same block in 2 drawings, in one of it i need to show more attributes than on the other. The plan was simple to make visible some the attributes in one of the drawing and job done...but here is the problem.

I use battman, edit the attribute and change it from invisible to visible as showed below( the third pic is the block) edit.PNGedit2.PNGPol.PNG

Hi,

sorry that I'm confused, in your first screenshot you marked attribute "town", in the second screenshot it's the attribute "AssetType" which is modified and the third screenshot does not show any of these 2.

Let's start at the beginning (first ignoring your dynamic part of the attributes):
When you select an attribute and change it's setting "Invisible" from YES to NO, then close the block editor and run command _ATTSYNC for that block ... does that work? Do you see now the content of the attribute in your drawing?

That's what I meant, when you modify objects, e.g. like BATTMAN editing attributes you'll need to reassign the visibility-states to the attributes.

Hi @Anonymouselena.bucura,

Thanks for your patience.

I tested your file and your dynamic blocks seem to be losing flexibility and intelligence

to the geometry.

If you insert the dynamic blocks into a new drawing, it works fine.  You can still edit the attributes using ATTEDIT and selecting the block. You will need to change (opdType). Then Then use BATTMAN to change the definition of the block and Sync or Copy-paste to see if it issue still occurs.

It would be appreciated you share with a short video or screenshot of you are experiencing in AutoCAD.

Hi Lionel,

Apologize for this late response, looks like there  was setting   "Block properties must match a row in a table", I have unset this and it's working properly now

Thanks a mil
