Datalink to Excel doesn't keep the ACAD Font Style

Hello,

I have been working with Excel Datalink in the paper space,  I created a Table  with the format that I want (cells and row sizes, margins, dimensions, etc),  I created a New Cell Style also, where I specify the Font Height but when I create the datalink the font height is wrong and that modify my table.

I have tried changing the Cell Locking to each value: unlocked, format locked, etc. but with the same result.

Hi @gsanchezlargo

Is it possible for you to upload a screenshot of your Table Style dialog box?

Go to Annotate tab=>Tables panel=>Table icon=>Launch Table Style dialog button=>Take a screen shot of the dialog box.

Hi @gsanchezlargo

This workflow uses Arial font. Your font may vary. Your cell fill color, your cell margins and your cell border styles and may vary.

This workflow assumes all ROWS in your table are DATA rows. If you use Title rows and Header rows then your workflow will vary.

Hello @ChicagoLooper,

Thanks for your answer, however, this scenario works if you copy and paste the table info.   I am using datalink to capture the data.

Until now I don't understand why the format change.

You CAN use it for a datalink.

The GREEN BRACKETS at the four corners indicate the AutoCAD table is 'linked' to an external file. (Refer to bottom image in post #4 of this thread.) If you know how to 'detach the AutoCAD  table link, then the green brackets will disappear.

If you can't use the green brackets as verification, then you aren't doing it right.
