bing images in MAP 3D

2017-06-13_082615.jpg

1. Is there a way to avoid distortion of Bing images in MAP 3D?

My wms is displaying correctly, but bing images are like this when I come close to the location.

2. Second question relates to wms save image. I wanted to save image that I get from wms and to make it georeferenced.  Wms reads png files from server, and when I make dwg with _mapexportcurrentmaptodwg that dwg always has some error when I want to open it. Error looks like thiserror1.jpg

And here I say "yes" - because I want to cancel the opening this file, but Map opens it anyway.

And then I get an empty screen and geolocated, but I do not see any image.

error2.jpg3.jpg

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

Thank you

Hi,

Can you please

  • upload the drawing with the BingMaps and WMS connection? From your screenshot I don't know which part is WMS and which part is BingMaps, so I also don't know which one is correct, which one is not correct.
  • let us know which version of Map3D and service pack you are using (start command _ABOUT and upload the screenshot from that dialog)

>> I wanted to save image that I get from wms and to make it georeferenced.

Are you sure you can save the WMS-displayed content using any export command? I'm quite sure that does not work.

What you can do is to run the _PLOT command to create a PNG/JPG/... and do your own georeferencing.

Here is screenshot with aerial road view. Grey lines are wms.

Second image is when I get close.

Similar situation is when I make map aerial or hybrid.

I have Infrastrucuture Premium, with MAP 3D 2017.

road.jpgroad2.jpg

Plot is offering me dwf, dwfx, pdf.

I can save unferefenced image via Outpit -> as image (_saveimg).

Thank you for helping me.

Tatjana

Hi,

>> Here is screenshot with aerial road view.

Please upload the DWG, in the screenshot I can't see what happens when I zoom.

>> Grey lines are wms.

>> Second image is when I get close.

Well, what is wrong here?

>> I have Infrastrucuture Premium, with MAP 3D 2017

Which service packs are installed (that's why I asked for the screenshot of the _ABOUT dialog.

Hi,

>> Plot is offering me dwf, dwfx, pdf.

You can start command _PLOTTERMANAGER ==> "Add a plotter wizard" ==> there you can create your new PC3 file for creating raster formats as described >>>here<<<

>> I can save unferefenced image via Outpit -> as image (_saveimg).

That is only screen-resolution and would create bad quality later (when zoomed more close to the object)

Hi Alfred, is this approach about using wms OK?:

1. I tried with an empty drawing.

2. I made data connection with wms service and images appeared with right coordinate system and units (we have meters, Serbia, balkan zone 7)

3. Then I gave Aerial map command, and I can see it all.

But the problem appears when I try to get closer. It is very slow, and then I get blurred image. Sometimes, but it is very annoying I get it right. Bing images are blurred, then turn it off, then I get closer to wms images, see the parcels, then I turn Bing on, and then Bing image is distorted (like from the sky with some angle.

Is it internet connection that I have, or something related to Bing?

Thanks

Hi,

sorry, I did not know you were connected to a private WMS service. So I can't see it.

Also the TIFF you have referenced is not visible as I don't have that too.

>> I do not see wms.

Well, what I can see is that your drawing has a connection to a WMS service and you have a TIFF file referenced in your drawing, but you don't have BIngMaps active, which is stated in the title of the thread. Maybe you can describe your case for that drawing again? Where does BingMaps data influence this drawing?

Do we have 3 sources of data (WMS, TIFF and BingMaps)?

When you don't see WMS data, then one reason could be the the TIFF image is above the WMS layer (by definition of draw order), can that be possible?

Having multiple raster layers on the same position does not make sense as long as the images are not transparent.

Last picture in this post has tiff, Bing images and wms.

Tif has given transparency, wms is made of png files, and bing image I choose from Online map, Aerial view.

But it doesn't work always.

Do I have to have something drawn in my drawing in order to see it properly, that's my question?

We want to make georeferenced images from wms service, which is in Serbia made of png files.

I thought that I can make it in MAP directly via some command.

I have raster design on my MAP, and I thought that I can do it in a simple way.

Plotting it into pdf, or jpg doesn't do georeferencing4.jpg

Small numbers in green area is wms, grey lines are tif, green is Bing and text 168/250 with some other stuff is dwg.

Regards,

Tatjana
