Associative Map Annotation Template with multiple Attributes

I've successfully created a Map Annotation Template with a single attribute and linked it to an object data field and assigned an associative text style to the attribute.  Using Block Editor I make the block associative and then edit the block and make the attribute associative and assign an associative scale to the attribute.  When I insert the block it responds to changes in the current associative scale and displays properly.

Life's good so far, however, I need to define other associative Map Annotation Templates that have two or more attributes.  When I do, the text scales properly, but the insertion points for the attributes fail to update and I end up with overwritten text.  Does anybody know of a way to get the insertion points for the attributes to update relative to the block definition when I change the CANNOSCALE value?

Thank you,

My suggestion is not to make the MapAnnotationBlocks associative. Use the scale option when you insert the labels.

But that's defeating the whole concept of Associative Scales.  I'm using the same blocks, text, etc. in several different viewports at different scales.  I need the objects to appear the same in each, or not at all (by removing the annotation scale associated with the viewport from the items). I've already got a huge amount of data that I'm displaying with more to be added to the drawing.

Is this another area of ADE that AutoDesk didn't quite finish?
