2017 Map 3d performance!

Ok, I've never been a fan of how ADSK and their resellers fleece and ignore customers  and completely abandon some of their software but I have to say that there is a huge noticeable performance and stability with the Map 3D 2017 product.  I've only crashed twice so far in two days and that was because of their new "Desktop App" was reporting and conflicting with our internet connections.  I uninstalled the Desktop App and haven't had any issues. Kudo's to the AutoCad core dev team.  Now if Map3d dev team would only put back in the KMZ importer and the publish to Google Earth FDO, like we had back in 2010 we may just stay with ADSK longer than planned.

If you want to use KML, try the http://www.sl-king.com/fdokml/fdokml.html "FDO Provider for KML".

It works great with AutoCAD Map 3D 2017 - just tried it.

We finished the pmxExportKML plug-ins for Map3D. You can download it from our website

Import kml and kmz as autocad map layer would also be crucial in this app

You are right, we did start to develop to include an advance import kmz/kml file to AutoCAD Map.

In the actual stage we complete it with a new option : create  legend or any image like logos or remote image.

The main purpose was to have an instrument to export advance kml/kmz file from FDO with advance spatial filter and to have option to style it as in map, export data, reuse the style or projects settings for many projects.

Next week we'll lunch a new version for ExportKML with legend and minor fix .
