Hi All,
Has anybody experienced a significant degradation of speed in accessing external databases on Windows XP? We're migrating a Map 2004 based system onto XP which has MSAcess 97 datasources. They are accessed using Visual LISP ActiveX functionality, CAO and ADO. Speed in returning records is noticeably slower. I've checked the MDAC installation with the MS Component Checker (the MDAC version is 2.7 SP1 on Windows XP SP1). Jet 4.0 SP6 is installed. Any similar experiences or suggestions as to how to improve performance? BTW machine spec on the XP boxes is much higher than the NT machines I'm comparing against.
Cheers,
Keith
