Need idea

Hi All,

I'm looking for a solution that I need to know I have a .sdf which has associated a textual data and url link. Now I need to generate a batch report. All info is come from that sdf file. How I can do that? I have two idea:

First idea
- use mapbook functionality
Second idea
- use Excel application to help create report and then extract info from Map 3D

Anyone can give me idea?

Open the data table, select all or filter on the data you need then export
to CVS under the options. Then you can open that CVS file in excel or import
into access.

Thanks for your reply.
If I have a lot of polygon in sdf format, and each polygon need to generate a report with specific scale, how I can go to do? And the record in sdf file need to fill onto the report.
Firstly I need to solve how to generate report/ layout for all polygon in sdf! Do you have idea? I learning .NET. Could you give me a clear idea how to do?

Sounds like you need Mapguide instead of Map3D. Take a look at some of the
sample applications here http://mapguide.osgeo.org/livegallery.html and see
if any of these are what you are trying to do.

Yes I just installed this example (http://data.mapguide.com/mapguide/gt/index.php). and found the print layout is useful for my application. Now I do not know how to customer it? Could you give me an idea? Thanks in advance.

Nope, sorry I'm not that well versed in customization in MG yet, if you know
php,asp, and .net then you might be able to figure out some of the sample
but the bet advice is read all the documentation on the mapguide open source
site.
