License Issue

Anonymous
Not applicable

When I open my 2016 Autocad Map 3D software I get a "license not available error" the license is on our server....

I'm not sure whether it is a technical issue or if Autodesk has not been paid.

The support maze with autodesk is a real pain and beyond frustrating.

Since we don't have a special support plan.... I have no one to call to get this resolved.

Hopefully this message can find someone to help resolve the issue.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear about the licensing issue. There could be a couple of reasons this is occurring. Is there a specific error code, when you receive this message? A screenshot would help in pin pointing the error. Typically this is a result of the FLEXnet licensing not being set up correctly or running, see here for more information on this.

There should also be some contact us options available to you for network licensing errors here, you may need to sign in to that page to see all of them. Let me know about the above question, I am happy to assist further.

Hi Matthew,

The error code given was 4.132.0
I have attached the error box and the second dialog box that appears when I close it.

I've gone to the link you attached and it states that I do not subscribe to support... chat is the only option available.
I just figured technical support would be a basic privilege as it means I cannot even use the software until the issue is resolved.

Thanks for the swift response.

Hi @Anonymous,

It's more of an activation issue, if you use the chat option, a case will be logged for you. I can also escalate one for you if needed. However, here is how to resolve a network licensing error [-4.132.0]. It may be the result of not enough licenses or your licenses is already in use somewhere else. You may want to configure an inactivity timer if you believe the latter to be the case.

After doing a little research I'm thinking it's the result of not enough licenses.... How would I go about configuring an inactivity timer?

Hi @Anonymous,

Here is how to configure the the license inactivity timeout for the Network License Manager (NLM). Let me know how it goes.
