Disable Entity Highlight on Hover

Hello!

Is there a way to disable the highlight (change to dashed) function when simply hovering over an entity?  No command selected, just moving the crosshair around the screen.  I find this extremely annoying.

Thanks!

Thank you once again.

That turns all highlighting off. In 2016 the highlight of hatch is off by default. In 2013 hatch highlight is in the options menu somewhere - I can't remember where. I skipped 2015.

In 2018 you can do this from options menu.  on bottom right of selection tab.  Turn off visual effects, uncheck command preview and property preview.  It worked of me.  I did not need to go in setvars.

Thank you Rbax

How simple was that!!!

I tried all the other solutions - researched for hours.

The other solutions reduced the highlighting some but did not remove it.

The techs at Autodesk aught to ask you how to fix their stuff.

Thank you for the correct/easy answer.

SELECTIONEFFECT 0
PRESELECTIONEFFECT 0
SELECTIONPREVIEW 0

These work for me on an underpowered rig.

In Revit 2018, I went to File, Options menu and I don't see a selection tab. Appreciate help with this.
